Where is my team data stored?
Only on your phone. No account, nothing uploaded. If you delete the app, your teams and games go with it. Regular iPhone backups include the app’s data, so switching phones through a backup brings it along.
Does it work without internet?
Yep. Gym with no signal, field with no signal, doesn’t matter. The app never needs a connection.
How do I add my players?
Teams tab, tap your team, type a name and hit return. Or tap “Paste a list of names” and drop in the whole roster. The little pin next to each kid lets you set what positions they like to play.
How does the fair playing time work?
Every lineup, the kids who have played the least go on the field. If it’s a tie, whoever has played less this season gets the nod. “Everyone plays every period” makes sure nobody sits out a whole quarter when there’s room. When there isn’t room (say 14 kids, 5 spots, 4 lineups) the app tells you up front and suggests more sub changes.
How do I change who plays a position?
Tap the position on the field and pick the kid from the list. That’s it. You can also pin a kid to a spot for the whole game, like your goalie.
What are the extra lineups, like power play or special teams?
When you set up a game, tap “Add a lineup.” Hockey gets power play, penalty kill and extra attacker. Football gets kickoff, kick return, punt, punt return, field goal and field goal block. Volleyball gets serve receive. Each one has its own formation and its own fair rotation, and you switch between them on the lineup screen and during the live game. Your team remembers the lineups you used last time.
What does “0 subs” mean?
One lineup all game. Good for small teams or short games. You can still sub kids in during the live game.
A kid didn’t show, or got hurt. Now what?
Before the game: game menu, then Who’s here. During the game: tap the kid and hit Out. The rest of the game rebalances around it.
Why didn’t I get a sub alert?
Allow notifications for My Sports Lineup in iPhone Settings, and start the game clock in the app. Keep the app running in the background and don’t swipe it away. The clock is accurate either way, but the alert needs the app alive.
How do I send the lineup to the parents?
Open the game and tap the share icon at the top. It sends the whole lineup as text.
Is there a subscription?
No. One price, once.
