About
Tyler Grieve
A guy that likes music. I’m the founder and president of ʻAina Studios (Ends of the Earth Media Inc.), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit creative studio in Kailua-Kona, Hawaiʻi, where I teach and work in recording, production, live sound, and performance. I collaborate with the School of Worship at YWAM Kona, and everything I make — the book, the course, the apps — comes out of real rooms with real people, usually with something more important than money on the line.
What I do
Teach
The Complete Course is the curriculum I actually use — craft and instrument tracks, built from years of teaching working musicians.
Write
The Music Reformation is my book on what the industry optimizes for, and what musicians can build instead.
Build
My Music Rider and Realtor’s Buddy are apps I built to solve problems I ran into myself — on stage and off.
Elsewhere
ʻAina Studios is the nonprofit side of this work — the training ground the book and course fund. My writing there cross-posts here in full as Field Notes.
